WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Police are on the scene of a homicide investigation in Winston-Salem.
Authorities were called shortly before 7 a.m. to the corner of Clemmonsville Road and Cornell Boulevard.
At the scene, officers found 28-year-old Jerry Chiffon Watkins Jr., of Winston-Salem, shot dead.
Witnesses reported hearing shots fired at about 4:15 a.m.
The family found the victim at about 6:50 a.m. and called police.
