GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Greensboro police are investigating after a fatal shooting on Thursday.
Around 12:48 a.m., Greensboro officers, Greensboro fire officials and Guilford County EMS responded to the 1600 block of Van Wert Street when they were told about a shooting, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.
Arriving officials found Shango Adams, 23, in a driveway. Adams had been shot and was declared dead at the scene.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide. Next of kin have been notified.
Details about any possible suspects or motives are not available at this time.
This is the city’s 34th homicide of 2024.
