WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) -- Winston-Salem police began a homicide investigation on Thursday after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound, according to a Winston-Salem Police Department news release.
At 9:39 a.m., Winston-Salem officers responded to Northwest Boulevard when they were told about a dead person.
The victim was identified by investigators as Brandon Michael Odom, 35, of Winton-Salem. He had been shot in the upper torso.
